» Statement on Senate Foreign Relation Full Committee Hearing

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) wishes to wholeheartedly thank the Senate Foreign Relations Committee—especially its Chairman, Senator Bob Menendez, who has been a stalwart champion of Armenia and Armenian issues for years—for holding Senate hearing on September 14, 2023, to shed light on the devastating humanitarian crisis unfolding in Artsakh.

Not surprisingly, much of the discussion during the hearing focused on the need to reduce Russian influence in Armenia and help Armenia build stronger and more meaningful ties with the United States and the West. NDA has championed the cause of establishing an alliance between the US and Armenia and is now pleased to see this idea being echoed at the highest levels of the U.S. government. We look forward to working with the United States’ Senate to make this shared vision a reality and building a stronger, united, and independent Armenia.
